A set of internal documents deciding this device have leaked out of Verizon, and these say that "The Droid X2 will launch in all channels via Direct Fulfillment on May 19th 2011. In store launch is May 26th 2011." In layman speak, this means that it's going to be available on this carrier's website on May 19 and brick-and-mortal stores a week later.

A previous unconfirmed report indicates that it's going to sell for $200 with a two-year contract.
Motorola Droid X2 PreviewThe replacement for Verizon's original Motorolla Drod X is supposedly going to be almost identical to its predecessor, and will also include a 4.3-inch touchscreen. The size isn't changing, but the resolution is going up: qHD (960 x 540) instead of the WVGA (800 x 480) one in the original.
Another upgrade will be its 1GHz Tegra 2 dual-core processor, up from the 1GHz single-core chip in the Droid X. The operating system will supposedly be the same however: Google Android OS 2.2 (Froyo). There will be 512 MB of RAM, 6 GB of internal storage, and a microSD/SDHC memory card slot.
All the information that has leaked out about this model indicates that it will not feature Verizon's 4G service. It will, however, include 3G (EV-DO Rev. A), Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR and GPS.
This Motorola Droid X2 allegedly will have an 8 megapixel resolution, auto focus, and dual LED. A front-facing camera for video conferencing is notably absent. This device will, however, boast an HDMI video-out port located next to its Micro-USB port. This arrangement will allow it to support Motorola's webtop accessories that can convert it into a simple laptop or desktop. [Source]
